Zenker is a kind spirit, and even the sensibility. Everyone should be like a mountain with high and low summit, but the ideal seems to be the clouds among the mountains. Mountain wants calm down, but clouds won’t and continuously swam, even surpass the summit.
On April 30, 2014, 38 zenkers, driving 12 SUVS including Jeep, Volkswagen Touareg, Land Rover and so on, depart from Chongqing , and arrived in the Shangnami countryside, Dazhai tibetan autonomous town, Songfan county, by way of Chengdu, Dujiang Weir, Wenchuan, Mao county. The fleet went along the narrow valley, went upward against the Minjing River and came to the Xuebao Summit Temple at the foot of snow-capped mountain in the afternoon on May 1st.
A crowd of Tibetan students and parents had already waited, on the playground in front of the Temple, for welcoming the zenker’s charity cars. Dengzeng Zaba, the living Buddha of Xuebao Summit Temple, had every zenker worn the white hadas personally,which symbolized full of wishes. The Tibetan grandma gave bowls of noodles block to us against the hungry. As Xuebao Summit rises 3500 metres above the sea, some of us got seriously altitude illness but everyone didn’t care about their tiredness and downloaded the charity goods immediately such as drawing books, watercolor pens, child watches, picture-story books, picture books, school-bags, soccers , badmintons, jumping ropes, tug -of- war rope, toys, handcrafted tools, umbrellas, clothes etc.
Here was firstly tug- of-war game in this afternoon. Tens of Tibetan students were divided into four groups to compete for the first three, in which 4 children from Chongqing also joined. For a time, the resounding cheers made this place a happy ocean. And then the American football-passing relay race was held. Six zenkers led 10 Tibetan students individually and formed 6 groups to attend the competition. All of them were very actively and serious for training. As the whistle rang, all raced to chase and catch each other almost at the same speed and it had been named No.1and 2 and two- tied for third, 2 memorial award at last. And, the 6 groups played mutual games like collective rope jumping and ball passing by spoon. The students were very active and happy to attend kinds of activities. The donated goods from zenkers fleet were issued to Tibetan students as rewards which makes the children happy and successful.
The weather in the mountain was changeable, sunshine just now but suddenly hails and snowflakes. However, Xuebao Summit mountain , about 5588 m above sea level seemed to be infected by our warm activities and it cleaned up. The zenkers visited the the ancient Xuebao Summit Temple afterwards. Dengzeng Zaba introduced that Xuebao Summit Temple was a historical Temple of Tibetan Bonism and now 870 years old. Buddhist relics of all of living Buddhist and the gods of snow mountain were enshrined in the scripture hall on the third floor of this Temple where women entrance were forbidden. The Summit in the middle represents Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, on the either side of which standing a male mountain god and female one.
At night, Tibetan friends killed a delicious fat goat to treat the distant clients, zenkers. Everyone at the foot of the snow-capped mountains lighted a bunch of exuberant bonfire, around which they sang, danced, drunk and talked about friendship. Although the night temperature descended by 3-4 degree Celsius, Our enthusiasm wasn’t changed and we sang the old songs in 1980s all over. The entrepreneurs born after 1960s and 1970s seems back to their youth ages. In the end, the bonfire Party ended with a classic song “Unforgettable Night”.
On the following day, we held the horse-riding and mountain-climbing activities. The fleets changed into a long queue of horses, shuttling in the virgin forest. The zenker children were also brave to ride a horse individually and climb to the waist of mountain about 4000 metres along the narrow zigzag way. It’s gorgeous to see that the waterfall condensed into a silver chain of ice, hanging on the cliff. All of us climbed into snowline by riding-horse and experience the magnificence of Xuebao Summit.
The volunteers individually investigated 9 local poor students family to prepare for the next one to one help by the kind zenkers.
This activity “Zenkers Journey Westward”, supported by Chongqing Foods Yuantong Road No. 66, lasted for 4days and 3 nights, and ended on May 3rd. Most of the participants are the elites in the society and they really understand and experience that it’s a kind of happiness to pay.
